Do you ever wonder where your food is coming from? One of the reasons we LOVE our market is the combined passion and knowledge of our vendor family! Have you heard that chickens lay eggs every colour of the rainbow, that goats are mega escape artists and that cows like it when you sing to them? Did you know that carrots grow great with peas but hate growing next to parsnips? Were you aware that the sweet maple sap we use to make syrup only flows a few weeks each year when the temperature drops below freezing overnight and rises above in the day? The journey from farmer's field to the kitchen pantry is unique and fascinating for every ingredient so don't feel shy, go ahead and quiz your favourite vendor!
